Geri Lynn Arrindell
Bringing years of experience as an Assistant Attorney General and associate at a firm in Springfield Illinois, Geri Lynn Arrindell joined Sandberg Phoenix in 2013. Her expertise in employment law and governmental affairs and regulations, in addition to her experience practicing before the National Labor Relations Board and Illinois Labor Relations Board, adds significant capability to the Business litigation Practice Group.
Ross is a senior associate at Sandberg, Phoenix & von Gontard P.C. and is licensed to practice in state and federal courts in Kansas and in Missouri. Ross has substantial experience in a wide range of practice areas, focusing primarily on litigation and trial work in construction, employment and commercial law. In addition to trial victories, Ross has obtained multiple cost-efficient wins for clients through dispositive motions and mediations. As a result of his successes, Ross has been named a “Rising Star” by Missouri and Kansas Super Lawyers since 2014.
A. Courtney Cox joined Sandberg Phoenix & von Gontard P.C. in 2010 as a Shareholder. He concentrates his practice primarily in civil rights and employment law litigation in Federal Court and has successfully represented numerous businesses in Southern Illinois.
An associate in the Business Litigation Practice Group, Joseph Devereux joined Sandberg Phoenix in 2015, bringing more than five years of litigation experience. Working with clients ranging from small- and medium-sized enterprises, individuals and local businesses to insurance brokerages and energy start-ups, Joe is a seasoned commercial and civil litigator.
Practicing law since 1975, John Gilbert brings a wealth of experiences representing some of the largest companies in the United States to Sandberg Phoenix’s Edwardsville office. John is a member of the Business and Business Litigation Practice Groups and focuses his practice on labor and employment, commercial and higher education law, as well as civil rights defense.
Sandberg Phoenix Shareholder Timm Schowalter routinely provides day-to-day counseling on a variety of employment and labor issues including employee leave of absences, wage and hour issues, union matters, and compliance with ADA, FMLA, WARN, OSHA, and federal and state employment discrimination laws. Also, he handles clients’ day-to-day legal needs including drafting personnel policies, employment contracts, executive compensation agreements, severance agreements, safety manuals, affirmative action plans, non-competition and confidentiality agreements, employee handbooks, and comprehensive training programs.
Having exclusively practiced employment law since 2007, Narcisa Symank is a member of the Business Litigation and Business Law practice groups. She focuses on employment litigation and counseling. As an experienced litigator and trial attorney, Narcisa litigates employment-related claims, including discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims, as well as breach of contract, misclassification, and failure to pay overtime claims. On the transactional side, Narcisa assists businesses and individuals with employment, severance and non-compete agreements. She advises employers on issues ranging from every day human resources matters involving ADA accommodations and FMLA leave, to public accommodation concerns, and investigations of sexual harassment complaints and workplace violence threats.
